The cWatch interface

The cWatch interface will give you access to your cWatch features:

  • Dashboard: View security and performance data from the cWatch modules.
  • Scan: Run and manage website security scans. Below are the types of scan available.
    • Website scan: Performs an initial scan of your website’s front-end files for threats, blacklist status, missing security headers, SSL errors, and other security issues. The scan runs automatically after you add a website to cWatch and does not require configuration.
    • Server-side scan: Performs a deeper scan of your website’s front-end and back-end files to detect known threats. You can schedule scans and configure automatic removal of detected threats. Server FTP settings must be enabled for this feature to work.
    • OWASP: Scans your website for the top 10 web application security risks identified by the Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP). You can schedule weekly scans or run them on demand.
    • CMS: Identifies vulnerabilities in supported content management systems (CMS), including WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, ModX, and Typo3. You can schedule weekly scans or run them on demand.
  • Defense Center: Configure Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies, create custom firewall rules, and view attack and threat statistics for your website. Read cWatch: Defense Center to learn more.
  • DNS Management: Improve website performance by delivering content from data centres closest to your visitors. cWatch also forwards event logs to the Comodo Security Operations Centre (CSOC) team for monitoring and threat detection, while its Web Application Firewall (WAF) protects your domains against web-based threats. The WAF rules are continuously updated to help provide protection against emerging threats. Configure the cWatch Content Delivery Network (CDN) and view website traffic data, including data usage, status and error codes, and visitor locations.
  • Trust: Trust is influenced by various factors between your website, visitors, and search engines. cWatch checks these trust factors daily to help maintain your website’s security and credibility.
    • Site Trust Analysis: Displays your website’s security and trust status based on factors such as blacklist status, vulnerability scans, scheduled scans, malware detection, and firewall activity. The analysis is updated daily.
    • SSL Certificate: Secure traffic between the CDN edge servers and your website visitors. You can use a complimentary SSL certificate from Comodo or upload an existing certificate.
    • Trust Seal: When displayed on your website, the Trust Seal badge reassures visitors that your site is safe and secure.
