Where Do I Find the Credentials to Connect to SFTP in WordPress Hosting?

SFTP stands for SSH File Transfer Protocol or Secure File Transfer Protocol, this connection is a more secure option when moving your files to your server compared to the regular FTP.

How SFTP works is that it taps over the SSH data stream to establish a secure connection. Thus, providing you or your partners and organisation with a higher level of file transfer protection.

The SFTP uses encryption algorithms, which acts as an extra layer of protection when moving data to your server, this method keeps files unreadable during the process, preventing unauthorised file access during the transfer.

For SFTP to work, you need to enable it and requires both a user ID, as well as an SSH key for a more secure connection.

Below are the steps on how you can access and view your credentials to SFTP in Crazy Domains WordPress Hosting via your Account Manager.

Step 1. Log in to your Account Manager.

Step 2. Click Web Hosting from the menu bar at the top of the page.

Step 3. Click on the WordPress Hosting plan whose SFTP credentials you wish to view.
