How to verify a website with Google

There are different ways on how to verify a website with Google and these are the following:

  1. Add a meta tag to your home page (proving that you have access to the source files). This is done by adding keywords/meta tags in the section of your HTML Code.
  2. Upload an HTML file with the name you specify to your server. This is done by uploading an HTML file in the root directory of your web space or to the specific directory where your website files are stored. The HTML file can be obtained inside your Google account.
  3. Uploading the Google Analytics code that you use to analyse the traffic that your site receives.
  4. Adding the Google tag Manager container snipper to your site.

Congratulations, you have verified a website with Google.
